I've become aware that in the 14 months since my son was born, I have done more painting, scrap booking, and creating than I have in the 5 years I've been married.
I'm not sure why I've become aware of this. Maybe it's because, since coming off anti-depressants, I've been trying to figure out how long I was actually depressed before I was getting treatment. Maybe it's because I've been taking more notice of my accomplishments. Or maybe it's just that I've had more inspiration in the last year, I don't know. The thing that puzzles me most is where I've found the time to do so much.
Along with the day to day busyness of life as a stay at home mum, attempting to keep the house clean, tidy, and organised, all while keeping my husband and son fed and out of trouble, in the last year I have:
-3 pairs of toddler shoes
-3 flower girl dresses
Hopefully I will get around to posting about some of these past creations and DIY projects, though I also have an ever growing list of future projects (no thanks to Pinterest!). Which brings me to whole point of this blog: to keep track of my projects, to see how much I've done, and to hopefully inspire others to paint, create, and try new things.

- Completed 3 paintings
- Scrap-booked the first 6 months of my sons life
- Dug up and planted a garden bed
- Almost finished 2 raised gardens so that I can attempt to grow vegetables (my history with growing things isn't very good)
- Taught myself to crochet and completed:
-3 pairs of toddler shoes
-3 flower girl dresses
- Taught myself to use the manual mode on my DSLR (which I've had for 3 years) *This is ongoing*
